My story
How urbanBloomed began
urbanBloomed was born from a simple idea: wanting plant pots that felt like mine. Pots that matched, that made my home feel intentional, and that I could be proud of because I made them myself. And if I'm honest, my husband's teasing about my pots never matching had a little something to do with it too.
What started as a personal project grew into something bigger: making plant ownership approachable, stylish, and genuinely fun. Whether you're a nervous first-time plant parent or a seasoned collector, I want you to feel confident and supported.
My own plant journey didn't start perfectly. It was rocky, honestly. But with patience, curiosity, and a lot of trial and error, my struggling collection turned into something thriving. Along the way I learned that plant care isn't about perfection. It's about learning to listen, adjust, and show up consistently.
The family behind the soil
The small details are personal. My soil blends are named for the ones I love most: our dogs, Monty and Pearl, and Pheonix, our cat, who has passed but lives on in every bag of succulent mix.
